Bluesound unveils new networked streaming ceiling loudspeaker

Bluesound Professional introduces its new ceiling/pendant loudspeaker, the BCS300. This patented, PoE-powered, networked loudspeaker is a fully self-contained music distribution system. A single Ethernet cable delivers power and network connectivity to the built-in amplifier and audio streamer, eliminating the need for a separate audio rack and reducing cabling requirements.

Featuring an output of up to 102 dB and a conical dispersion of 150 degrees, the BCS300 - like all other Bluesound Professional commercial streaming hardware - is controlled via the BluOS operating system which interfaces with third-party commercial AV control and automation systems and allows replay of many sources of music and other content.

These include local media files, internet radio stations, private URL streams and integrations with dozens of streaming music services including an increasing number of commercially licensed business music services. It also allows flexible and unlimited grouping of zones. The optional pendant kit transforms the BCS300 into a lamp-shaped hanging loudspeaker, offering installers flexible mounting options for high or exposed ceilings.
