PR Live boosts team

London-based event technical production and rental specialist PR Live expands its team with the addition of three new key staff members. Dave Gillett joins as Head of Technical, while Karl Travers and Rhys Williams both come on-board as Senior Project Managers.

Dave Gillett has a decade of industry experience, starting off with a lighting company in Wales and then for another London-based events company where he developed his skills as a lighting and video engineer. At PR Live he brings his technical experience, a love of innovation and an inventive approach to system design plus his knowledge of projection and pixel mapping and enthusiasm for more creative video scenarios. As an experienced media-server programmer and user, he will head up the implementation of PR Live’s new investment in D3 technologies products. His work at PR live will include producing original and imaginative visual solutions.

Karl Travers brings twenty years of live event industry experience to PR Live involving multiple show formats and design at a number of levels including technical, operational, production, business development and creative. He’s also worked with live productions and venue installations worldwide. At PR Live he’s tasked with delivering event technical production, working with the in-house technical teams and regular freelancers. He will be overseeing projects from the initial brief through to the post-event reviews and will manage event crews, installations and technical elements.

Rhys Williams came into the industry after studying stage management at University, starting as a warehouse prep tech and working his way up and across all fields both as a full time employee and a freelance technician over the last fifteen years. Over that time he’s also been closely involved on the music festival scene. At PR Live, he wants to introduce new clients and contacts to the PR Live brand experience.
